Questions and answers

How much does an AC repair visit cost in JVC?

A diagnosis visit starts from AED 99. The repair itself is quoted by the technician once the fault is found, before any work starts.

How much is a regular AC service?

A standard service for a wall split unit starts from AED 120 per unit. Ducted and fan coil units take longer and are quoted per unit.

Who pays for AC repair, the tenant or the landlord?

It depends on your tenancy contract. Routine servicing is often the tenant's job and major repairs or replacement the landlord's, but check your contract and tell your landlord before approving a big repair.

My building is on district cooling. Can you still help?

Yes, with the parts inside your apartment: the fan coil unit, its filter, drain, fan motor and thermostat. The chilled-water supply and the central plant are the building's or the cooling provider's responsibility.

The indoor unit is dripping water. What should I do?

Switch the unit off, put a towel or bucket under it and send a photo. Dripping is usually a blocked condensate drain or a dirty coil, and running the unit makes it worse.

How often should an AC be serviced in Dubai?

At least twice a year for units that run most of the year, ideally once before summer and once after. Dusty areas or homes with pets may need filters cleaned monthly.

Do technicians work on Fridays and public holidays?

Requests are answered every day. Availability on Fridays and holidays depends on the technician, so mention if the job is urgent.
